Programs to develop components of social and emotional competences: Hungarian and international context

Abstract
The issue of the development of social and emotional skills has been presented for a long while in education and psychology. At international level emerged several programs that can develop various abilities and skills for social behavior and apply different innovative methods and tools. In Hungarian practice a growing number of research groups work on developing these skills in different age groups. The purpose of this study is to present those developmental experiments and methods that have been published in the last few years. These programs have been tested in institutional environment and because of their efficiency can be used in educational system.
