A qualitative study on an AR exhibition guide application

Abstract
In recent years, museums have been inundated with a plethora of applications based on augmented and virtual reality technology. However, there are currently few analytical methods available to professionals to analyse and evaluate the use of these technologies in terms of exhibition communication. In this study, I present a qualitative analysis of the communication aspects of a self-developed AR technology-based exhibition tour guide tool in the Móra Ferenc Museum in Szeged, with 79 participants and in the context of a school session, using a research method based on the visual framing methodology. The results of this research will hopefully contribute to the study and evaluation of similar technology-based developments.
