Transformations in Udmurt translations of Hungarian folk literature

Abstract
By now a relatively high number of Hungarian literary works has been translated into Udmurt. Translators try to convey the whole essence of the work, its artistic design. Moreover, they have to make various changes at different linguistic levels - lexical, grammatical, etc. This works gives an analysis of lexical (transcription, transliteration, calque) and lexical-semantic modifications, such as concretization, generalization, modulation, antonymic translation, explication and translation of cultural realities of the source language.
