Together for the community of Klebelsberg settlement

Abstract

In the Klebelsberg settlement of Szeged there is a special community that considers the values ​​of the past and local heritage to be particularly important. Kuno Klebelsberg also had a great impact on the revival of the settlement, which is why the local community still remembers his work. Nowadays, the preservation of traditions and respect for Klebelsberg is more important in the settlement community, especially for the older residents. It is a problem that the younger generation is less involved in the maintenance of traditions and community life. Teacher Edit Újvári and I carried out research on the community and traditions of the district as part of a TDK thesis, and we also looked for a solution to the local generational problem. We have developed a program for young people that involves them in the preservation of local values, and we will implement all of this. The results of our joint work so far are decisive for me both from a personal and professional point of view, and the continuation of our work will certainly result in new joint successes.
