Abstract

In our research, we explore how what we now call the "human appendage" of communication tools transform our communication habits, and how the information that flows through the "human umbilical cord" influences our emotions associated with these tools, and how they change the content and structure of information. The theoretical framework of digital pragmatics will be used to illustrate the changes in communication processes from a pragmatic point of view, the transformation of speech act structures in social communication spaces and the anomalies that these processes create, which affect the flow of social communication on social platforms and thus the rules of human interaction. In this paper, we focus on the following processes: the process of information deformation, the conflict between the communicator's intention and the receiver's interpretation, the consequences of distorted information and distorted interpretation. In order to gain a better understanding of these processes, we conducted a pilot study among young adults to map their attitudes towards these phenomena. The results of this research have been incorporated into our study and used as the basis for a flowchart showing the negative shift in communication habits on social platforms.
