Abstract
At the beginning of the 21st century, the global higher education environment is changing dynamically, requiring institutions to adapt more quickly than usual to a more than eight-hundred-year-old system, both in research and education. Dr. Péter Szabó, the founding rector of Kodolányi János University, has been working on the development of adequate organizational development and higher education pedagogical responses to new challenges for thirty years. In his present study, he outlines a possible path for professionals working in domestic and international higher education by presenting the PIQ & Lead ™ Model, a higher education pedagogical model introduced at his university and granted with the European Innovation Award in 2014.
