A systematic review of extracurricular activities of children living in foster families.

Abstract
In our research, a systematic review of extracurricular activities of children living in foster families was conducted. In the introduction, attention is drawn to the special needs of children in foster families in the school environment and the importance of an appropriate response to these needs. When presenting the research methodology, the application of PRISMA guidelines is described, as well as the criteria and search strategy used for the analysis of national and international literature. In the following, the selection process is outlined, excluding studies that did not meet the research criteria. In the presentation of foreign difficulties, we discuss the special situation of children placed in foster families and the factors influencing their academic success. Finally, focusing on foreign examples, we highlight the positive effects of extracurricular activities on emotional, social, and academic development. The analysis summarizes the key findings and conclusions in the field of research related to children living with foster parents, with a particular emphasis on the challenges and opportunities in education and social integration.
