Edit Zsadányi, Eötvös Loránd University

ZSADÁNYI, EDIT is Associate Professor in the Cultural Studies Department, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. From 2009 to 2014, she was senior lecturer at the Finno-Ugric Department, University of Groningen. Her fields of research are women writers in the 20th century, modern and postmodern Hungarian and American literature, with particular emphasis on Cultural Theory, Narratology and Gender Studies. She is the author of five books, four in Hungarian and one in English Gendered Narrative Subjectivity: Some Hungarian and American Women Writers. Frankfurt am Main: Peter Lang Academic Publisher, 2015. She co-edited (with Hanneke Boode) a collection of essays: Gender Perspectives on Hungarian and Finnish Culture. Maastricht, 2011.
