During production, farms strive after maintaining their existence in market competition. It is not an easy task as the aim is to maintain or ameliorate of the quality of the products not forgetting the minimization of the cost of goods fitting to possibilities. One part of the costs is the salary, so it is expediential to reduce time expenditure with the help of modern technical equipment. The environment of production is defined by official instructions/laws that is why firms have to pay attention to these criteria. On those farms where technical development is needed to be implemented, financial source can be ensured by down- payment sources or tenders. Authors have examined the nature and the measure of recent investments and development on three various - sized dairy farms. Data were collected by oral interviews with local managers and methodical observation. This study shows how vary the technical level and labour productivity indexes based on different types of development and money-expenditure.
