A frugal innováció sajátosságai és létjogosultsága

Abstract

Increasing social requirements for corporate social responsibility, the low level of demands and scarcity of resources lead to practice of frugal innovation beyond of classical innovation approaches. These circumstances and new challenges and global changes are what small and medium-sized companies have to face in the 21st Century. It is clear, that the old strategies are not appropriate any more. My question is the following: How do SMEs think about strategy, innovation and feasibility of frugal innovation? The product of frugal innovation are simple (reduce complexity), lean (reduce waste), clean (environmentally responsible) and social (benefit for everyone). The aims of the primarily quantitative survey were innovation, strategy and frugal innovation which was conducted in spring of 2015. Even though the size of the sample, results suggest that frugal innovation needs for new approaches, openness and readiness which are the characteristics of the “Start-up and survival” enterprises.
