Abstract

For every higher education institutions is a basic task to provide their students with a labor-market compatible and adequate formation. Only few information is available about the success of this process, but a relatively new tool, the Graduate Tracking System can be helpful in the determination of the graduates’ labor-market career. This allows to the institution to develop their courses based on the current trends and expectations. The Baja engineering education has a long tradition; there are several reciprocal connections within the students and the professors. The aim of this study is the discovery of the engineering graduates’ career path, comparing it to the tendencies of others graduated in different higher education institutions of Hungary, but primarily focusing on the results of the students of Baja.
