Abstract

To organizing Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an institutionalized responsibility of the state. This responsibility has been affecting every economic value producing processes directly. Those social values, attitudes, expectations and behaviours which are relating OSH tasks, are continuously integrating in the organizational culture. This process has created a subculture within the organizational culture. This organizational subculture is mostly conceptualised as safety culture. Nowadays, the safety management is recognised as a separated leadership task. The companies these institutionally required safety tasks have been mostly delegated to independent extemal safety experts or enterprises. The contentment measurement of the organizational OSH quality level is an important dimension of safety culture assessment tests. The study analyses the contentment opinion of the OSH experts, whom characteristically working in agglomeration of Debrecen. The participants are characteristically working in priváté sector and they are all members of Hajdú- Bihar County Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Probably from this situation arises that phenomenon, they are least contented with the financial and professional recognition as well as the general OSH situation.
