Abstract

Efficient and modem management of the organizations is a serious deficiency of the national leadership and organizational practices. It seems - even with 102 years after Taylor - that often even those elementary basics are not used which were set as target to the U.S. „managers" by the Taylorian scientific management school around 1910. The 102-year-old Principles of Taylor were the basics for today modem quality management systems. This is where the truly scientific quality management stem from, it has allowed quality systems to systematically („scientifically") develop, and get from the idea of strict quality control to the quality-conscious TQM system what is managed by the top management and covers the whole company. The starting point of this had been the small Taylorian „quality spot", which expressed quality as a requirement in a functional task of organizations and today it became a primary competitive factor. The study shows a 102-year-old ,journey" of quality from the strict quality control to TQM in general and through the model of a major domestic multinational company, in this particular case we pointing out how we can modemize, how we can make our domestic systems „quality-conscious", what improve their competitiveness.
