The changing role of parents as conveyors of culture, and its contemporary impact

Abstract

As a teacher and parent, I am also concerned with media and digitalization in children’s activities. Therefore, my goal is to gain literary insight into the current state of children, social media, and digitalization habits. By mapping the generational habits of children, I review their relationship with their socialization role. My long-term goal is to explore and examine the Internet and media consumption processes from the perspective of parents and children. I am convinced that we can educate and raise our children more successfully if we know exactly the impact of the media on their lives, knowledge, personality, and socialization processes. With the help of accurate knowledge and evaluation of these processes, productive cooperation between teachers and parents can be established for the benefit of the children.
