Recovery of people with psychosocial disabilities – life history events in the light of Liberman’s recovery model

Abstract
In this study, we undertake to examine which factors play a role in the recovery of psychiatric patients. By presenting Liberman’s recovery model and unfolding its elements, we establish the basis for the examination aspects. We found a day care facility for psychiatric patients to be the most suitable for monitoring the recovery process, as it provides a community-based service. It also provides the medical history of patients, their life stories and the subjective evaluations of those involved. We want to reconstruct the process by presenting specific cases and getting to know the life histories of those involved, and ultimately evaluate the success of the recovery process.
