Analysis of Miro Gavran’s Puppet Play The Pet Doctor
Main Article Content
Abstract
Miro Gavran’s works were published in forty languages, and his plays were seen by more than four million viewers. Since 2021, he has been the president of the main Croatian literary and cultural institute, Matica Hrvatska. In this study I would like to give a short review to Hungarian teachers, parents and puppeteers about his works in context with children’s literature. In this story a dog and a cat go to the animal doctor because they suffer from medical and communicational problems. The doctor and his surgeon’s mate, a parrot help them to overcome their fears in connection with surgeries. After the visit they also stop discordance and become true friends.
