The appearance of the problem of the kindergarten-school transition in the Hungarian pedagogical press

Abstract
In my study, I reviewed the first two years (1868-1869) of the weekly newspaper called “Néptanítók Lapja”, looking for and analyzing articles related to the transition from kindergarten to school. In the end, 22 studies came into the focus of my research, which covered a wide range of topics, from the issues of the institutionalization of early childhood education, to discipline, to the issue of female education, to the problems of educating young girls. When studying them, it can be stated that the issue of raising young children was permanently included in the official journal of the ministry, although few authors were given the opportunity to publish their opinions. At the same time, the paper provided assistance in the development of the institutional system, which was still in its infancy at the time.
