The history of the Mathematical Department of the Juhász Gyula Teachers Training College, later the University of Szeged Juhász Gyula Teachers Training Faculty and that of the Subdepartment of Teaching Mathematics of the Institute of Primary and Pre-school Education, later the Department of Primary School Teacher Training of the Institute of Applied Pedagogy of the University of Szeged Juhász Gyula Faculty of Education from 1998 to 2021

Abstract

In our study we summarise the history of the University of Szeged Juhász Gyula Teachers Training Faculty and its predecessor’s Mathematical Department and the Mathematical Sub-department’s history from 1998, from the history of the department’s introductory volume publised in 1999 by the Juhász Gyula Teachers Training College until 2021, the termination of the sub-department. In the summary we detour form the unit’s location, leadership, colleagues, education, research, to talent development, publications and of its relations.
