Abstract

In this article I present a secondary school project task related to physics. In this project our students examined the role of renewable energy resources. The students from our grammar school were invited to volunteer in the project. We carried out the tasks in the afternoons on extracurricular physics classes. Renewable energy is the term used to describe a wide rangé of naturally occurring, replenishable energy sources. Several technologies can harness various types of renewa-ble energy help to meet the needs of energetic markets: electricity supply, heat supply, services and liquid fuels for transport. In the project we examined the wind energy, the hydro power, the biomass energy, the solar energy and the geothermal energy. The re-newable energy sources supply the most environmentally friendly energy production. The science school project is a collaborative knowledge-sharing method. The aim of our project is while students enlarge their knowledge about physics and energetics, they can develop their applied information technologic skills, economic skills, enviroment-friendly attitudes, and to prove their cooperative skills as well.
