Abstract

The present global problems are updating the social expectations for the environmental education. Consequently, the methodology of environmental education is effective if an individual’s environmental capacity is increased within the framework of sustainability. Since its inception, the methodology of forest school programs has been gradually upgraded, thus enabling co-operative learning and projectbased pedagogical methods to be continuously applied. Nemethne Dr. Katona (2005) Comparing wandering camp and forestry education, we find that while the methods have many similarities, the two educational places had different goals at the time of their development and it is currently observed that similar pedagogical goals are achieved with different emphasis. In my study, I also present these differences when comparing the forest school and the wandering camp programs.
