Abstract

TCI (Theme-centered Interaction) is a methodology of group dynamics supporting motivation and experiental learning. By applying this method in teaching our students, learning becomes a personal matter for them instead of becoming passive recipients. This dissertation briefly presents the TCI method, then it introduces its interconnections with the known educational concepts. After the results of the qualitative foreign research, you can read about the results of the Hungarian quantitive research. It is on this basis that the students who had longer been taught with the TCI method achieved a significantly better result in dialettica, which is one of the main principles of personal coopertaion, than the members of the control group who had not been taught with this method. The lingitudinal examination is being continued with the impact assessment of TCI on the field of the further social competencies and by investigating the characteristics of the learning styles.
