Abstract

During the locksmith works, we examined the most well-known procedures, taking into account both static, economic and corrosion protection aspects. These procedures were selected based on the frequency of their application. During the production of the test specimens, we used the standard pattern, and they were made using the welding method and grips used by body builders. After carrying out the tensile test, the results showed that there is no significant static difference between the 4 similar processes tested, flame welding in the case of joined plates, MIG welding in the case of joined plates, MIG welding in the case of lapped plates, and MIG welding in the case of lapped flanged plates. Spot welding using the MIG process proved to be the weakest. However, from an economic point of view, it is the cheapest process, followed by MIG welding, and finally flame welding.
