Abstract

Among the tourism possibilities the angling tourism is a little neglected. However, Hungary’s possibilities in this issue are quite rich. Hungary has two big rivers, the Danube and Tisza, in addition there are several lakes, and we do not forget to list the numerous oxbows there were create in the XIXth century during the river control of Tisza. Tourism is an option to take advantage of this potential. Each city, region and country has the possibility to use it in his development ideas. The research aim is double: At first, to show the problems of the definition of angling tourism, and of angling tourist in the tourism system.
