Early Modern Physiognomic Representations of the Human Body
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims at presenting the connections between physiognomy and early modern literature by analysing two excerpts. Ippolito d’Este’s description was hitherto unknown for Hungarian scholarship, the presentation of Coloman, King of Hungary by Péter Révay is being discussed in the context of new sources. The choice of topic is in harmony with Éva Vígh’s research related to physiognomical literature.
