Main Article Content
Abstract
This, in many ways, unique text is a double forgery. Its real author is the French lawyer, writer, and historian, Nicolas Chorier (1 September 1612–14 August 1692); among his other influential works, this is his most famous text. It is considered the first truly pornographic text in European cultural history. This translation is the first of a complete book of seven satires.
