Absztrakt

In the past ten years the environmental awareness spread away in the social and the corporate sector as well. Due to this, the sustainable development became an important and necessary part of the corporate government systems. The sustainability reports summarize the performance in terms of sustainable development. These reports are becoming more and more popular among the Hungarian companies. The environmental sustainability is one of the main parts of these accounts, so they have direct connection with the firms' environmental management systems. The main goal of the research is to find this connection between the Hungarian companies' reports and the environmental management system, with the investigation of their public documents. As an important point, the study is searching for the answer that how the environmental management takes place in these reports. The research analyses the international methods, the professional principles, and also the content of these documents.
