Jill Anderson completed her PhD at the University of Texas-Austin in May 2010. Her dissertation, Re-Reading the American Renaissance in New England and in Mexico City, is a transnational literary history of the intertwined cultural and political manifestations of liberal nationalism in the United States and in Mexico during the later half of the nineteenth century.
